Saudi Arabia wants to have something more than oil and big investments to show when it comes to mobility. The country introduced CEER, its first national brand of electric vehicles, and one of its first projects hardly goes unnoticed.

The protagonist is the Exobot, a model that will come as a sedan and SUV and that in its most potent configuration uses three electric motors to reach 1,111 horsepower and 1,106 pounds-foot torque.

The higher-performance version also features integral traction and vector torque control.
The sedan can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds, while the SUV completes the same manoeuvre in 2.4 seconds. Maximum speeds are 155 mph (250 km/h) for the first and 130 mph (210 km/h) for the second.
The sedan measures 5.26 meters long and the SUV reaches 5.02 meters, while both have 2.1 meters wide.
One of the most special elements is the enormous umbrella, which measures 2.4 meters in length and has a tilt of 15 degrees.
Local identity appears even in some details from the outside. The 32 light bars refer to 1932, the year of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the wheels take inspiration from patterns of the country’s traditional architecture.
Also highlight the Shahin Wing doors, whose design is inspired by the Shahin falcon. The front and rear doors round the three meters of length and open forming an arc of about 60 centimeters.
At the same time, technology takes a large part of the role. The Exobot incorporates a 48-inch curved screen with 8K resolution, accompanied by another 10.4-inch central and an additional 8-inch for the rear occupants.
The range will start with the Exobot First Edition, available in both body versions.This variant will feature three electric motors, all-wheel drive and 850 horsepower.
The battery will have 112 kWh and the announced range will reach up to 416 miles (670 km) in the sedan and 348 miles (560 km) in the SUV. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
CEER also incorporates functions of assisted driving, automatic lane changes, hands-free driving and point-to-point navigation on highways. OTA updates will allow you to modify or add certain functions without necessarily going to a workshop.
The Halo Cooling system, according to CEER, can lower the indoor temperature from 149 °F (65 °C) to 89.6 °F (32 °C) in about 10 minutes.
The project is part of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) strategy to develop an automotive industry within the country. Projections associated with the project estimate a $8 billion contribution to Saudi GDP by 2034 and an improvement in the trade balance of $21 billion.
