Ford has launched a review of over 102,000 trucks in the United States, prompted by concerns over faulty analogue gauges. The issue arises when the gauges' needles fail to function correctly, potentially displaying inaccurate information to drivers.

Mercedes-Benz is reportedly developing a compact version of its iconic G-Class, with plans to launch the new model prior to 2028.

The issue primarily impacts vehicles from model years 2025 and 2026, specifically the Super Duty line, as well as certain units of the 2026 F-150 and F-750 models.

Lexus has announced that it will be discontinuing one of the electrified variants of its upcoming 2027 TX model. The decision affects the lineup of the luxury SUV, which was initially expected to offer multiple electrified options. The exact details of the affected variant, including its specific powertrain and features, have not been disclosed.

The company has announced that it will replace the instrument panel module at no additional cost to its customers.

The Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 recall involves approximately 91,588 units produced between December 14, 2024, and April 17, 2026.

The total number of affected vehicles includes 10,570 F-150 models produced between August 2025 and May 2026, along with a single F-750 2026 model assembled on November 21, 2025.

Ford pinpointed the affected vehicles through its supplier's production and maintenance records, allowing the company to isolate the specific trucks with the defect. Not all trucks produced during those timeframes are necessarily impacted by the issue.

A vehicle's speedometer may display an inaccurate speed reading, while the tachometer may also inaccurately indicate engine revolutions.

The malfunctioning condition of these vehicles poses a challenge for drivers to accurately access vital vehicle information, thereby elevating the risk of accidents. Furthermore, the affected units fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101, which outlines essential requirements for control systems and display functionality.

Ford's internal investigation into a product defect gained momentum after its Critical Affairs Review Group became aware of the issue on May 28, 2026. By September 16, the company had compiled a total of 111 reports, comprising 18 warranty claims and 93 field reports, linked to the defect. Fortunately, no accidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this failure.

A vehicle recall was documented by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with a corresponding identification number, 26V653.

Vehicle owners can verify whether their truck is affected by visiting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's official website and searching for the vehicle identification number (VIN). Alternatively, they can reach out to Ford's customer service department directly at 1-866-436-7332.

Ford and Lincoln dealers will replace the instrument panel module at no cost to the vehicle owner as part of a repair.

Ford is set to dispatch provisional notifications to affected vehicle owners between October 26 and 30, 2026. A follow-up communication is planned for the period between December 7 and 11, once a resolution to the issue is implemented.

Ford owners of 2025 Super Duty and 2026 Super Duty, as well as 2026 F-150 models, are advised to verify their vehicle identification numbers and remain vigilant for updates from the manufacturer.

Vehicle speed gauges displaying unusual needle movements should not be solely relied upon for determining the actual speed of the vehicle.
