Ford is ahead of a review campaign involving thousands of trucks sold in the United States. The case that concentrates the largest number of units corresponds to 223,472 F-150 models from 2023 to 2027, due to a possible problem with the straps holding the fuel tank subject.

The disadvantage would be related to incorrect installation during assembly. T-shaped anchor parts may not have been well placed on the chassis riel, allowing the tank to move or be damaged.

That opens up the possibility of a gasoline leak and, in more serious situations, that the tank will break away while the truck is in motion. Ford registered 16 warranty claims associated with this condition after identifying the problem in July.
The dealers will inspect the subject system and replace the straps when appropriate.
The pickup also appears in two other calls for review, although with much smaller amounts. There are 37 F-150 model 2026 with the maximum trailer package that could have installed an incorrect bearing on the rear axle.
In those units a 8.8-inch piece would have been placed instead of the 9.75-inch bearing indicated for that configuration. The wrong component could end up locking after a time of operation and generate problems such as the locking of the rear wheels or the separation of the transmission axis.
Affected units will receive the corresponding component and their owners will start receiving notifications from September 21.
17 F-150 Raptor 2026s were also identified with a possible fault in the back suspension Panhard bearings.
The problem would be related to an incorrect torque during manufacturing. Ford detected the situation after investigating a noise under warranty and established that a device used to check the torque remained disabled during part of production.
Dealers will replace the fittings and adjust them according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
The fourth review affects 1,945 Ford Transit models 2026 and 2027.In this case, the disadvantage lies in the wireless system responsible for warning when a rear passenger does not wear the belt.
Ford has recorded two field reports. The dealers will review the rear belts and replace the straps if necessary. As long as a definitive repair is defined, affected units remain under a delivery restriction.
