Xpeng's new L05 electric SUV is poised to redefine the driving experience in China, combining cutting-edge technology, ample space, and premium features typically found in higher-end models.

Kia has announced that the 2027 model of its electric vehicle, the EV6, will retain its existing lineup of seven variants without any changes.

The company is positioning itself as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y, with a unique approach that includes a range of propulsion options and a distinctive interior design.

Ford has conceptualized a vehicle that remains stationary, but with a twist - it's designed to deter thieves rather than prevent them from stealing the car.

The Mona L05, also referred to as the Mona in China, is a new addition to the Mona family, positioned above the L03. The vehicle is available in six different versions, consisting of four completely electric models and two variants with an extended range system that incorporates a gasoline-powered backbone.

The design of the vehicle was led by JuanMa López and features a sleek, aerodynamic profile with frameless doors and a prominent, full-width rear light bar that spans nearly the entire width of the car.

The L05 boasts a spacious interior, measuring 4.87 meters in length and featuring an axle distance of 2.94 meters, allowing for ample room for passengers.

The vehicle's load space is a notable feature, with a rear cargo area providing 702 liters of capacity. When the rear seats are folded down, this space expands to 1,913 liters, offering ample room for luggage or other items. Additionally, the electric variants feature a separate 102-liter storage compartment located in the front of the vehicle.

Xpeng's model features a prominent cabin, equipped with a range of advanced display systems. A 17.3-inch central display and a 26.8-inch Head-Up Display are integrated into the vehicle, providing drivers with a comprehensive view of the road. Additionally, passengers in the rear seats can enjoy entertainment through an extra 17.3-inch screen mounted on the roof.

The system features advanced audio capabilities, supporting up to 20 speakers, and includes a sophisticated ambient lighting system with a palette of 256 colors. Additionally, it is equipped with acoustic front glass technology.

The interior seating area of the vehicle has been designed with comfort and luxury in mind. Rear passengers can enjoy heated seats and electric reclining capabilities, while the copywriter is treated to a premium zero-gravity seat featuring a 14-point massage function. Meanwhile, the driver benefits from adjustable body support systems to enhance their driving experience.

The L05 model features a rear-mounted electric engine producing 245 horsepower and 280 Newton meters of torque, with rear-wheel drive configuration available across all its variants.

The electric variants of the vehicle are equipped with LFP batteries, available in capacities of 58.2 kWh and 71.1 kWh. They offer an estimated range of up to 635 kilometers under the Chinese CLTC cycle. Rapid charging enables the battery to be replenished from 30% to 80% in approximately 15.8 minutes.

The extended range variants of the vehicle are equipped with a 1.5 litre gasoline engine that can also function as a generator. The onboard 37.2 kWh battery enables electric-only travel of up to 310 kilometers, and the vehicle's total range, combining both electric and gasoline modes, reaches 1,310 kilometers.

The vehicle features an independent rear suspension system, variable hardness dampers, and advanced technologies aimed at enhancing its performance across various terrain types. In terms of safety, it boasts a comprehensive suite of features, including seven airbags and a range of driver assistance systems, which are further augmented in higher trim levels with features such as navigation and parking assistance.

Xpeng aims to showcase the L05 as a competitive vehicle by combining ample space, cutting-edge technology, and advanced autonomy features, ultimately providing a comprehensive travel experience.
