A Los Angeles attorney lost her life following a fatal fentanyl poisoning at the hands of her adoptive son, according to officials from San Diego County.
A Los Angeles County lawyer, Nadine Jett, who was undergoing cancer treatment, would have lost her life prematurely had it not been for a man who prosecutors claim was involved in a deliberate and deceitful scheme, having been welcomed into her family.
Cedric Von Ferdinand, a 34-year-old individual, is accused of providing fentanyl to Jett, which ultimately led to the latter's demise. Following Jett's death, Von Ferdinand allegedly concealed the body on his property and orchestrated a scheme to seize the estate of a Los Angeles-based attorney, with the goal of appropriating hundreds of thousands of dollars.
