All four people on board an airplane crashed on Wednesday in deep waters near Seldovia, Alaska, killing all four of the crew members, according to authorities.
The plane, a Piper PA-24-260, was departing from Anchorage's Merrill Field Airport and heading for Seldovia, a small town that is located 136 miles south of Anchorage.
State brokers were informed about the fall of an airplane in the Seldovia Slough, a southern stream close to the town, around 1:18 p. m. , according to the Alaska Department of Public Security.
Alaska state brokers received a report that an aeroplane had crashed in the Seldovia Slough, according to a statement from the condition.
The plane was completely submerged in about 15 feet of water near the shore after the effect, according to Clint Johnson, the NTSB's head for the Alaska area.
Another state agents moved by water from Anchor Point, while a helicopter crew from Anchorage was dispatched to the accident site.
The products couldn't get to the plane at first because of the tide conditions, though.
The water levels dropped after several days for the soldiers.
When the flood suddenly came around 6:30 p. m. , rescue teams were able to achieve the aircraft and get the bodies of the four adult victims.
Authorities will bring the remains to the state's criminal laboratory to conduct the postmortem.
Their names will be made known once their closest friends have been notified, according to the Alaska Department of Public Security.
Officials have not yet determined the cause of the accident.
The NTSB conducted the investigation to determine what caused the canal's collision.
The helicopter crashed days after the eight passengers on board the aircraft, who were traveling in a rural area of western Alaska, died in the crash.
