A 23-year-old Hispanic male who admitted throwing a Molotov cocktail at Los Angeles County deputies in June of last year in a protest against immigration attacks was given a four-year sentence in federal prison.

On June 7, 2025, Emiliano Garduno Galvez, a Hispanic national who was undocumented in the country, entered a guilty plea to civil disorder and possession of an unlicensed destructive device in Paramount, Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department ( LASD ) deputies responded to a protest at a Home Depot in Paramount, where protesters were allegedly throwing rocks and other objects at Customs and Border Protection ( CBP ) officers.
