A man reportedly equipped with a knife and leaping at officers was shot and killed by police in Santa Monica on Saturday afternoon.
In a statement, the Santa Monica Police Department ( SMPD ) claimed that officers responded to the Palisades Park neighborhood, close to the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue, in response to an alleged domestic violence incident at around 1:00 p. m.
