A 74-year-old person has been detained and charged in Delaware with killing a girl he believed to have confused with a chicken while hunting.
Salisbury, Maryland resident Walter Moorhead is accused of serious spontaneous death and other crimes connected to the Friday night killing in a field close to Ellendale, Delaware.
The event, according to the Delaware State Police, took place when Moorhead was attempting to hunt deer from a hunting post that had been installed on the ground around 7:40 p. m.
