A heightened security presence has been reinstated around the White House following the Secret Service's apprehension of a male individual who was found in possession of three firearms within a stolen vehicle. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the suspect allegedly expressed a desire to harm President Donald Trump.

A Venezuelan national, identified as Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, is currently in the custody of U.S. federal authorities following his apprehension on Constitution Avenue in Washington D.C., near the presidential complex.

Department of Homeland Security officials reported that a man was approached by officers after they observed him displaying suspicious behavior in a parked vehicle. During questioning, the individual claimed to be hearing voices instructing him to travel to the nation's capital with the intention of assassinating former President Trump.

A suspect apprehended near the White House has been arrested and charged by the US Secret Service with possession of multiple firearms. The individual claimed to have been instructed by voices in his head to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump, who was in office from 2017 to 2021.

A critical development in the case unfolded when authorities determined that the vehicle had been stolen. A thorough examination revealed the presence of a significant arsenal, including an AR-15 rifle, a MAC-10 pistol, and a Glock 43X, along with numerous ammunition cartridges.

A sworn statement filed with the judicial authorities has provided additional information regarding the incident. The statement reveals that the individual was seated inside a Ford F-150 truck when law enforcement officers approached him. Notably, he utilized Google Translate to facilitate communication with the officers, informing them that firearms were present within the vehicle.

Chrinos is facing a multitude of charges, including the unlawful possession and transportation of firearms, as well as unauthorized use of a vehicle and receipt of stolen property. Following a court appearance, he was remanded into custody without the option for bail.

A Venezuelan national allegedly entered the United States illegally through Texas in March 2024 and was initially apprehended by the Border Patrol. Following initial detention, the individual was released. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has subsequently filed a request to maintain custody of the individual upon completion of related criminal proceedings.

Secret Service Director Sean Curran confirmed that agency agents successfully intervened in a potentially hazardous situation, effectively maintaining control.

A recent incident has taken place amidst a series of threats against former President Trump since his return to the White House. The latest threat occurred in April, when a gunman was apprehended following a shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, resulting in a Secret Service agent being injured.
