The judge member who suggested reversing Lindsay Clancy's trial's outcome on Friday said he had no doubts about the woman's guilt after she allegedly killed her three younger children in a manic episode in the family home in the Boston suburbs.

According to the man who was a member of a 12-person jury," I thought there was enough evidence that she ( Clancy ) knew exactly what she was doing and what she was planning" based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the authorities presented.
In January 2023, Clancy, a former 36-year-old nurse, was accused of strangling Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 weeks, at her home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Following this, she attempted murder and suffered a half paralysis.
The woman claims she had a manic episode related to postpartum depression, but that she was not responsible for killing her three children. She also claimed she had committed suicide.
After the judge announced for the second time in seven days that it was unable to reach a majority ruling, Judge William Sullivan of the Plymouth Superior Court declared the prosecution void.
The judge had the option of finding her guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree death, spontaneous murder, criminal responsibility murder, as well as not-guilty or absolving her for mental health issues.
The defense filed an incident appeal with the state's Supreme Judicial Court alleging that one of the jury members was abusing the judge's orders and was preventing a majority ruling, but the request was turned down.
