Nine individuals have been charged with participating in a conspiracy to commit murder and operating a network of extortion linked to the Mexican Mafia in Pomona, Los Angeles County. The alleged scheme involved a violent incident in which a gunman fired more than a dozen shots at a victim in an apparent attempt to collect a debt.

The Los Angeles FBI office has identified nine individuals connected to a federal indictment, with eight of them allegedly linked to the Mexican Mafia, a notorious prison gang. Additionally, a ninth individual is accused of tampering with evidence in July, specifically replacing bullet helmets with gunshot casings in an attempt to conceal the evidence from law enforcement.

Eight individuals allegedly linked to the Mexican Mafia prison gang have been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in connection with a conspiracy involving murder and attempted violence. Seven of the suspects were apprehended today by the FBI's San Gabriel Safe Streets Task Force.

Six individuals were apprehended on October 7, with two others continuing to be held in custody. One of the detainees had been previously taken into custody for unrelated charges.
