Since its premiere on August 27, the film “Coyote vs. Acme” has conquered the international audience and Mexico has positioned itself as one of the markets with the greatest acceptance in the box office.
Proof of this are the $12,000,000 of dollars raised in Aztec territory for just a few weeks on cartel.
In response to this acceptance, the production of the film announced an initiative that aims to return the love of the Mexican audience: a cohabitation with Dave Green, director of the film.
According to a statement, the meeting will take place next Monday, September 21 at 18:30 at Cineteca Nacional Xoco, where Green will accompany a special function and will have a meeting with the attendees.
The news comes just a few hours after Zima Entertainment confirmed “Coyote vs. Acme” as No. 1 in the box office for the third consecutive week in Mexico.
The hits for the film released this 2026 are not only limited to Aztec territory, because the backing of the critic has been made valid through digital platforms.
On the website Rotten Tomatoes, itins a score of 96% approval by critics, adding the recognition of the specialized press to the enthusiasm of the public.
Added to this, Box Office Mojo that of the total $58.6 million in box office, around $41.5 million corresponds to the United States and Canada, while the rest comes from international markets.
Although this figure is on the rise, it was revealed that in order for the independent distributor to consider its $70 million investment between marketing costs profitable, the film needs to reach a global cumulative total of more than $100 billion.
