Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence finally made the move to join Instagram and made her terms very clear. His username is @jlaw, as “@jenniferlawrence” was busy, and he posted his first video addressing his fans to explain his expectations on social media.

“Yes, I’m going to try, and if someone says something negative, I’ll give up. Immediately. No questions,” Lawrence said to the camera, without makeup.

“If someone thinks something bad, I’ll know, I’ll know, and I’ll resign,” he said.

The actress also reiterated her request on her Instagram stories:

“Please bear in mind that any hurtful or aggressive comment can negatively affect the baby.”

Followers soon responded to Lawrence’s message with good vibrations. “An absolutely incredible first post on Instagram,” one account said. “Let no one ruin it for us!” another wrote.

“I’ve never seen the Internet so united as it is now, I love it,” said a third person.

Another person simply rejoiced that the star of “The Hunger Games” finally joined the platform: “They have no idea of the huge amount of fake accounts Jennifer Lawrence has had in the last two and a half decades...”.

Although this is his first public account, Lawrence had previously talked about his habit of browsing the internet with an anonymous account. “I am there. But, I see, I’m not talking,” he told InStyle in 2018 about his use of Instagram.

There is always a lot of negative reaction. A lot of people are listening and paying attention, and they have a lot of opinions about absolutely everything. The truth is, I don’t want to go into that field unless it’s absolutely necessary. I don’t want to expose myself for no reason,” he explained.

“Unless I’m promoting something or something annoys me a lot, they won’t know about me again,” he said.
