Lourdes Del Río is a Puerto Rican journalist who worked for Univision for 27 years. And now, at 61 years old, he takes a step to the side and decides to say goodbye to the chain. Del Río talked to Mandy Fridmann for “Las Top News” and confirmed that it was she who made the decision to say goodbye to the Spanish television.
In the conversation with Fridmann she was clear when she said: I confirm that yes, that’s true. A little over two weeks ago I resigned from Univision, effective on September 1, which is next Tuesday. They accepted my resignation, I gave them their respective days.”
Lourdes was very honest in his reflections with Mandy. He accepted that in Univision he lived good and bad times and that, as was to be expected, will strange many of his colleagues. After all, 27 years is about 9,855 days.
The decision, apparently, has to do with the fact of feeling that your cycle within the chain had already come to an end. “I felt that this cycle had already completed it,” he said in the interview. He is already preparing for his new project. This keeps her happy and with a lot of illusion to start from scratch with something that will belong to her from beginning to end. And only the fact of having that opportunity makes her know blessed.
