It did not sit well with President Donald Trump to learn that Abdul El-Sayed, a doctor by profession and former director of the Wayne County Health Department, had become the Democratic Party's candidate for Senate in Michigan, as this puts Republican Mike Rogers at risk heading into the November elections.

During a campaign event held in Las Vegas, Nevada, the head of the nation described as wrong the fact that there is an attempt to promote the candidacy of a Democrat who hates Jews.

“The polls were wrong again last night when they said it would be a landslide victory for an enemy of the Jews and an enemy of Israel.

This guy hates Jews. Someone said, 'That's a bit strong.' “No, he hates Jews and he hates Israel with a burning passion in his heart,” Trump said.

Seconds later, the New York tycoon raised the tone of his words against the politician of Egyptian descent whom he labeled a liar.

"Abdul El-Sayed, can you believe this? He is a man full of hate, and now he goes around saying: 'Oh, I love everyone'. He doesn't love everyone. Put him in power and you will see what he really loves. When I see Abdul, he is full of s**t," he emphasized.

During an interview with the MS NOW television channel, the Muslim democrat debunked Trump's accusations and reiterated that if he becomes a senator he will try to fight against anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.

"My commitment to the safety of Jews is the same as my commitment to the safety of my own children. We have a responsibility to combat anti-Semitism in all its forms, wherever we see it. It is the same responsibility we have with Islamophobia," he said.

It should be noted that part of the surprising growth of Abdul El-Sayed's campaign lies in his proposals aimed at ensuring that citizens have access to health services through more strengthened social programs, in opposition to the current policies promoted by the federal administration.
