The disqualification war between former President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump continues after the Democrat exposed him for his fascination with being surrounded by golden objects.

At the beginning of November last year, the New York magnate ordered a new inscription with gold letters that read “The Oval Office” to be placed next to the entrance to the room near the Rose Garden.

However, Trump's inclination towards the brilliance emanated by gold is not new, since in several of his businesses he also exhibits this habit.

Recently, he used the Truth Social platform to show off how the restoration of two imposing bronze horse statues from the “Arts of War” series located in Washington D.C. had turned out, a project where he spent nearly $5,000,000 dollars to change their dull appearance by retouching them with gold leaf.

Taking advantage of the fact that the midterm elections are less than three months away, during an invitation to Barack Obama to attend the program “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness”, which is broadcast on HBO Max, the former president who governed the country for eight years participated in a sketch aimed at mocking the character currently in charge of dispatching from the White House.

Taking into account that the production team set up a set to recreate the Oval Office, Obama demonstrated his acting skills and, while taking a look at the room, uttered an ironic phrase in reference to Trump.

"It's fantastic! Although I want to point out that there is no gold sign outside that says 'Oval Office'. I can't believe it didn't occur to me," he said with a serious face in reference to the 80-year-old conservative, which immediately caused laughter among the members of the production team.

It should be noted that Obama's severe criticism directed at Trump when he participates in public events contrasted with the position he assumed when he was in front of him during their attendance at the funeral of former president Jimmy Carter held at the Washington National Cathedral on January 9.

Far from appearing angry or serious with the New Yorker, the Hawaiian was captured very smiling sitting next to him and at times even chatting with him as if they were joking, an image that went around the world.
