Donald Trump made it clear that Venezuela may be under US administration for many years as he hoped to lay the groundwork for democracy and the development of a steady economy.

The 79-year-old Republican was questioned about how much his government had been able to control Venezuela during an interview with The New York Times.

" Even time will tell. The objective is to repair the nation in a very successful manner. We will apply oil and will get it. We will low oil prices and offer money to Venezuela because it sorely needs it, he said.

Most Citizens were sucked into an extraordinary crisis that made them live almost in poverty during the 13 years that Nicolas Maduro was president.

Thus, millions of people emigrated to other countries in search of better living conditions. Only the presidential family's inner circle managed to survive the lavishness that oil sales to nations like China and Russia have brought about.

Although it was believed that Venezuelans would have the right to elect a new leader with the fall of the Maduro regime, the Washington state assumed this authority when it appoint Delcy Rodriguez as interim leader.

Cuban oil may be produced mostly in the United States, with no chance of trading it with other countries.

Venezuela did start delivering between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the Trump administration starting this year.

Trump acknowledged that the government that took Maduro's place at the helm of Venezuela exhibits respectable behavior and is open to working with the US.

They are giving us everything that we think is required. Don't forget that they long before seized our oil," The conservative senator made reference to the expropriation of US oil-producing facilities in the South American country. Trump also acknowledged that he would like to travel to Venezuela once it has stabilized. He continued," I think at some point it will be safe. "
