Nancy Mace, representative of South Carolina, affirms that her estrangement with President Donald Trump would mean the end of her political career.

The Republican who at the time was defined as the “in heels” version of the nation's president insists on pointing out her promotion of the Archives Transparency Act. Epstein caused deep discomfort in the White House and hence the reason for not supporting her aspirations to participate in the electoral process in search of becoming governor of her home state.

During an interview with the NewsNation television network, Mace assures that she is resigned to living her last days in politics, because at the end of her term in the House of Representatives there will be nothing more that ties her to politics.

"This may have ended my political career. Let's be honest, I didn't go to Washington to take orders from anyone, that's why you see me fight from time to time, that's why I criticize both Democrats and Republicans. I have a history of doing so," he said.

Although the surprising death of Senator Lindsey Graham placed Nancy Mace as an alternative to occupy his seat, Trump chose Darline Graham Nordone, sister of the conservative politician, for said position, demonstrating that the representative was no longer part of his circle of trust.

However, far from being uncomfortable, the 48-year-old congresswoman accepted the appointment calmly and even took time to praise her, recognizing that it is a way of recognizing the work of a dedicated politician who legislates for the benefit of citizens.

"For more than three decades, Lindsey Graham gave everything for this state and this country, from the Air Force to the United States Senate. We didn't always agree, but no one questioned his love for South Carolina or the fight he showed everywhere he went," he stressed.

With nothing else on the horizon that represents another opportunity for Nancy Mace, she will resume her plan announced weeks ago to join the private initiative starting next year and will only remember as something anecdotal the day she dreamed of aspiring to become governor without imagining Donald Trump stopping any option of materializing that ambition.
