Just over a fortnight before the primaries, the six primary candidates for governor of California debated on Wednesday night to provide and protect their proposals for the economy, housing, and health.

Just six candidates, including Republicans Chad Bianco and Democrat Tom Steyer, Xavier Becerra, Matt Mahan, and Katie Porter, are still running for governor. The applicants for the company that Gavin Newsom is now running had their first conversation since former representative Eric Swalwell's arrest two weeks ago because he is accused of sexual assault.
