Tiger Woods, the golfer, and the Prosecutor's Office reached an agreement on Wednesday that will prevent him from going to jail for the transportation accident he caused next March, in which he was accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and refusing to take a urine test.
According to The Athletic, Woods will lose his driver's license for five years and will have to pay$ 1,500 for the new charges the Prosecutor's Office has been reducing against him.

The 50-year-old golfer went to the hearing in a court in Martin County, Florida, this morning, accompanied by his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, to declare himself guilty of the new charges and close the case.
On March 27, Woods attempted to beat a high-speed trailer with a video on a congested road before colliding with his rear and rolling over the driver's side.
Neither the athlete, who was driving alone, nor the driver of the other vehicle were injured.
Although he did not give a positive alcohol test, Woods spent several hours in prison after refusing to undergo a urine test and being accused of driving under the influence of substances.
The 15 major winner was carrying two hydrocodone pills, an opioid analgesic, had “glassy eyes” and walked “lethargically” during his arrest after the traffic accident, authorities said.

The golfer has been out of the competition since 2024, recovering from an Aquiles tendon break and also from his seventh back surgery.
