Josep Ferrando, interim coach of the Eldense, club of the second category of Spanish football, recognized in a press conference that the blaugrana team is “expecting” before the possible arrival of Lionel Messi as the new owner of the club.

Last Tuesday it was known that the Argentine has reached a principle agreement with the current owners of the club of Alicante, in the second category of Spanish football, to become the maximum shareholder, according to sources close to the operation.

Still, the coach, who until last Sunday served as an assistant to the destitute Claudio Barragán, said that “we have tried to completely isolate ourselves to focus on the match with Sporting Gijón with which we have a key match”.

Regarding the removal of Claudio Barragán, Josep Ferrando stated that “it has been a decision of the club and we have to take it” and added that in the face of the match of next Sunday in El Molinón with the Sporting “there is to increase the competitive level as we already did in the last match with Mallorca.
