One day before the start of the 2026 World Cup in the city, Metro Los Angeles officials announced this Thursday the collaboration of some 2,000 employees of the public transportation agency who will provide assistance to passengers who use the service during the World Cup.

Workers will be deployed in Los Angeles County to assist people, especially visitors, who use public transportation to get around, primarily to and from Los Angeles Stadium, known as SoFi Stadium, in Inglewood.

According to Metro, some 2,000 employees will leave their usual office jobs during the World Cup to reinforce the work of bus operators, Metro ambassadors, public transport security personnel and other frontline employees.
