The Asian fighter imposed conditions immediately, managing to send Pantera Nery to the canvas on three different occasions during the course of the first round.

The development and definition of the fight

The series of blows destabilized Pantera Nery, who could not consolidate an effective defensive strategy given the volume of the opponent's hits. Casimero took advantage of his opponent's physical instability to maintain constant pressure that prevented any attempt at a reaction by the Mexican corner.

In the second round, Pantera Nery's fourth fall was recorded, as he continued to show mobility difficulties on the canvas.

After a brief exchange in the third episode, a left impact caused the Tijuana boxer to touch the surface of the ring for the fifth time of the evening.

The outcome occurred 42 seconds into the fourth round, when a combination of Casimero's blows sent the Mexican to the ground for the sixth time. Given the lack of physical response from the Aztec athlete, the combat referee decided to definitively stop the actions in the ring.

Subsequent declarations and sanctions

At the end of the event, John Riel Casimero offered his impressions about the result obtained in Japanese territory. In statements shared by the sports portal Philstar, the Filipino highlighted the value of his victory: "I know that Nery is strong. This victory feels like he has defeated Naoya Inoue. With this victory you already know why Naoya Inoue is afraid of me."

With this adverse result, Pantera Nery sees his goal of competing for an absolute championship at 122 pounds interrupted in the short term. In addition to the fast-track defeat, the Japanese Boxing Commission determined to impose a mandatory six-month suspension on the Mexican boxer due to the events of the day.

The forced inactivity represents a new obstacle in the trajectory of Pantera Nery, who the previous day registered an excess of more than three pounds over the limit stipulated for the contest.

The athlete must comply with the administrative sanction period before seeking a new opportunity on international cards.
