Caution with water on Los Angeles County beaches
Public health officials urged residents to avoid contact with water on county beaches due to potentially elevated levels of bacteria
Residents of the Los Angeles Public Health department were advised to stay away from direct contact with the water on state beaches, especially near storm drainage, streams, and rivers because the spring tide's heavy rains could lead to higher levels of bacteria.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a statement warning that anyone entering the ocean could be poor. " Fun waters can become contaminated with bacteria, chemicals, debris, trash, and other public health hazards from city streets and rocky areas," the statement said.
