Applications for nonprofits, schools, faith organizations, and community organizations are available through June 7.

The District 9 Community Grant Program, an effort that does honor companies funding totaling$ 3 million, was officially launched by Los Angeles Council Member Curren Price on Tuesday.

Organizations can now submit applications for grants ranging from$ 5, 000 to$ 100, 000 to help with programs and services that directly benefit District 9 residents. Software may be accepted online using CD9. LACITY. ORG through June 7.

Non-profit companies, faith-based organizations, universities, community councils, and health and community service providers serving District 9 residents are among the available entities. The grant system aims to support local organizations ' efforts to expand and support the district's already ongoing group work.

Council Member Price remarked," Community companies are the foundation of our districts. " People frequently turn to them for assistance and options. These organizations play a crucial role in South Los Angeles ' daily life, whether it's supporting residents to needed resources, assisting children in staying on the right path, or creating safer, stronger areas. This purchase is intended to help those who are already carrying out that work.

Among other things, poverty reduction, public security, immigration support, youth programs, health and wellness, neighborhood engagement initiatives, and other funding priorities.

The District 9 Community Grants Program, which was launched in 2022, which awarded more than$ 4 million to nearly 100 local businesses, is a strong foundation for this new round of funding.
