Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) crews are not giving up hope of rescuing more victims trapped in the rubble of buildings that collapsed after the June 24 earthquakes.

Members of the urban search and rescue team, known as “USA-2,” have actively participated in finding and saving several people left in the rubble of collapsed structures.

"If someone is not seriously injured and just trapped, it is absolutely possible to find them. We will be there working until we have cleared all the buildings that need to be cleared," stated LACoFD Capt. Aaron Katon.
