A case was dismissed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in which the Donald Trump administration questioned the use of the Alien Enemies Act to arrest Venezuelans identified as Tren de Aragua users.
Trump's use of a peace law from 1798 was not made clear by the resolution, which was reported by the ACLU. Because the three defendants had already been deported using various constitutional means, the case was deemed debate by the court.
The three were still living in the United States when the Supreme Court sent the report back to the Fifth Circuit, according to Chief Justice Jennifer Walker Elrod. Eventually, the government sent them to a different emigration agency. The judge came to the conclusion that it was no longer able to give them relief.
