Both projects take longer to complete before reaching the assembly line, according to a statement released by Automotive News. The changes may be related to the need to make sure propulsion systems were operating correctly before putting the cars in the hands of customers.
Why does a Toyota RAV4 now take up to six months to arrive?
The pause does not indicate that Stellantis has abandoned either of the two designs. The company continues to pursue its intentions, even though the production schedules have changed considerably.
In May 2026, the hybrid version of the Grand Wagoneer was originally scheduled to begin generation.
That would require an additional six-month delay for one of the most significant Car models.
The Grand Wagoneer's most special offer is made up of the company's entire product line, and its new cross configuration aims to provide an alternative for those who are still unsure about making the transition to a fully electric vehicle.
The Ram 1500 REV's condition is even more intriguing. Since its assessment, the project has undergone a number of changes, and Ram's future plans have ultimately begun to take more significance from it.
Its creation, in accordance with Automotive News, is then expected to begin in mid-April 2027.
After Stellantis changed its electricity strategy and the brand's scrapping of other electrical projects, the extended range truck came to be a crucial component.
An extended collection propulsion system will be used by the Grand Wagoneer Hybrid and the Ram 1500 REV. A 400-volt cell, a 3. 6-liter V6 Pentastar website, and a gasoline-powered generator are included in the setup.
The V6 engine's position is where the particularity lies. Their primary function will not be to immediately generate the wheels, but to generate electricity so that the battery can use the energy it needs at the right time.
The electrical system may primarily provide power for the wheels. This kind of vehicle, also known as extended-range electric cars, aims to provide a user experience that is comparable to that of an electric vehicle without absolutely relying on charging items.
However, Stellantis will need to change the details of both produces, including their final details and prices. The only thing that is clear for today is that those who want to see the Ram 1500 REV and Jeep Grand Wagoneer Hybrid at American retailers will have to be persistent.
It will be crucial to find out in the upcoming weeks whether Stellantis has changed its manufacturing calendar or whether these new deadlines have been set.
