A Californian gentleman who was detained after allegedly converting his lavish trip home into a secret surveillance area was discovered dead months later.

According to the Madera County Sheriff's Department, a 44-year-old man was discovered dead inside a house on Granite Butte Way in Oakhurst after a person found his body and called 911.

Officers arrived at the mansion where Edwards was later declared dead at 50730 Granite Butte Way.

Researchers have not yet identified the cause of his death, but they have hinted that foul play is still a possibility.
