State police officer dies in shooting inside a DMV office in Delaware
A Delaware State Police trooper died after being shot by a man who opened fire inside a Division of Motor Vehicles office
Authorities said a Delaware State Police officer was killed on Tuesday after being shot while shooting at a Division of Motor Vehicles ( DMV) office in Wilmington.
The event, according to the Delaware State Police, took place approximately 2 p. m. when a 44-year-old man entered the building as a client and quickly opened fire. Finally, he started igniting the building.
The officer passed away after being taken to a doctor.
At a press conference, Corporal Raushan Rich claimed that the suspect shot an extra commander who was sitting at the reception desk. The officer shot a DMV staff twice before pushing her out of harm's way despite being hurt.
When the intruder approached the image, a New Castle County Sheriff's deputy approached him and shot him. The suspect was taken to a doctor where he passed away. The injured assistant eventually passed away from his wounds.
