Since Donald Trump's family left the house where he lived his first four after birth, the property built in Queens County, New York, has changed owners on several occasions, some of them improving its state of conservation and others making the abandonment deteriorate to such a degree that its penultimate inhabitants were a group of aggressive street cats.

The Tudor style house was built by Fred Trump, the father of the current president of the nation and who as a real estate developer had the vision of settling in the well-off neighborhood of Jamaica Estates, in 1940.

However, the growth of the Trump family made it compulsory that they would opt to acquire a larger property located in the same area.

In fact, any memory of the first house that inhabited the New York magnate is virtually null, since he was only four years old when he moved.

Since then, the property has been changing owners, but the highlight of its history came from the fact that Donald Trump became president for the first time.

In 2017, months after the Republican's arrival at the White House, Queens House was sold to an entity called Trump Birth Home LLC.

The transaction was made in exchange for $2.1 million, but far from being inhabited by a particular family, it was attached to the list of rental properties promoted on Airbnb.

In an attempt to take advantage of Trump’s fame, the property included a real-size cardboard figure of the president, a copy of his book “The Art of Negotiation” and a framed cover of the People magazine where it appeared that year.

The point is that, after a while, the project did not produce the expected result and the home was put on sale at a price of $2.9 million, in 2019.

For about six years, no one was interested in the property and due to lack of maintenance, moisture produced mould on the outside and inside, which made it practically uninhabitable, at least for people, because a group of cats ended up installing in the place.

All this changed last year, when Tommy Lin, a skilled real estate seller, bought the house for $835,000 with the goal of completely remodeling it.

The result of his work was that, in July, he managed to sell it for $1,930,000 without the new owner being yet known.
