Maribel Guardia has addressed speculation surrounding her legal dispute with her ex-daughter, Imelda Tuñón, by clarifying a key aspect of her grandson's situation, specifically that of her 9-year-old grandson, José Julián.

A statement posted on social media by the artist of Costa Rican origin has clarified that she did not request or intend to undergo a DNA test to verify her relationship with the child.

The woman clarified that she has not and will not request a DNA test to confirm her grandson's parentage, as she is confident in recognizing him as the son of her own son, Julián.

Guardia has issued a statement to dispel speculation surrounding the biological parentage of the child, reaffirming his role as a loving guardian who has been involved in the minor's life since birth.

Following the advice of her legal team, the actress has chosen to maintain confidentiality regarding the ongoing judicial proceedings she is involved in. As a result, Guardia has decided to refrain from making further public comments or issuing statements to the media, citing the sensitive nature of the legal procedures and respectfully requesting the understanding of the press in this matter.

A recent decision by Guardia has been compounded by a new statement, following a painful announcement weeks ago in which she temporarily suspended visits and coexistence with José Julián. Guardia alleges that her opposing legal defense team has devised a "perverse plan," manipulating a psychological opinion to falsely portray her and her husband, Marco Chacón, as aggressors against the child. This has led Guardia to take the precautionary measure of distancing herself from the meetings to safeguard her family and the child from potential legal repercussions.

A legal dispute surrounding the protection and coexistence of a child has escalated into a court battle, which also involves a complaint filed by Guardia against Imelda Tuñón. The complaint alleges that she is linked to the death of her son, Julián Figueroa. The matter will now be resolved through the judicial process, with all further developments taking place within the confines of the court system.
