Model Lina Luaces, who represented Cuba in the most recent Miss Universe pageant, recently appeared on the podcast Porque Lo Dice Tu Madre ( Because Your Mother Says So ), where she discussed her triumphant victory over the Mexican Fatima Bosch in the pageant held in Thailand.

The daughter of Lorenzo Luaces and Lili Estefan used her advantage to discuss her readiness and experiences before making her debut on the show in Bangkok, where she was one of the top-ranked candidates.

Lina, who was criticized for presenting Cuba in the United States, revealed that she had lost 40 pounds in recent months as a result of the stress and preparation.

I was fasting, not eating meal. We needed to shed a lot of pounds; I've lost 40 since April," Lina confessed in a portion of her photo.

She then expressed her delight in the accomplishments she made as a result of being told that she had the best body and was the contestant.

" I would have been so happy if you had told me that in April, when everyone was attacking me about my system, I would have been so happy. You are aware of my efforts and actions. I would say to myself," I got up at six a. m. and then spent two hours of Spanish classes, two hours of airport training, and three days of exercise," Lina said of the strict discipline she adhered to, which produced excellent results. Lina also gave up her personal life to emphasize her involvement in the pageant because of her devotion to Miss Cuba and Miss Universe. This time, I was unable to actually celebrate my birthday. I didn't accomplish something. To concentrate on this, I gave my private career. I wasn't there to enjoy about; I was there to represent Cuba at work and in person, Lina said, noting that she had very little preparation time. In the same discussion, she described how she overcome the various criticisms she faced because she was not born in Cuba and how she turned that hatred into a virtue.
