The eighth week of "The VIP Farm 2" has come to a critical point, with six contestants facing the possibility of being eliminated from the Azteca TV reality show.
Rafael Mercadante initially maintained his position on the nomination list for the Legado mechanism. However, Azalia Ojeda, who was the seventh contestant to be eliminated from the show, exercised her right to nominate a replacement before her departure on October 25, resulting in Mercadante being directly nominated.
A decision was made in relation to a previous incident involving Ojeda, which had previously led to her receiving a sanction. Prior to her departure from the competition, she stated that she would ensure her legacy by identifying the individual she believed would be the next to leave.
Mario "Mono" Osuna of team La Resistencia secured the Herradura del Poder title on Sunday, following a physical competition victory over Mercadante in the elimination gala.
Following the benefits of her position, she made a direct nomination and elected Natalia Alcocer. The competition for weekly leadership was narrowed down to two of the four finalists who had been vying for the position in the Capataz Trial.
Niurka Marcos entered the competition following her loss in the Nomination Duel to Ivonne Montero on Tuesday. The dynamic pits two farmer candidates against each other, one chosen by the Capataz and the other by public vote. Losers in the duel are automatically nominated and cannot be saved by their fellow contestants at that time.
At a gala event held on October 28, farmers participating in the program collectively selected additional members to join the Assembly. Kevyn "Bicolor" Contreras, Julio Camejo, and Pablo Montero were chosen to join the group, marking an unusual instance of three new participants being added simultaneously. This contrasts with previous editions, where the voting round typically introduced fewer members to the weekly Assembly.
The Disfunctional has secured a total of five nominations out of six available.
The team, comprised of active members including Pablo Montero and Ivonne Montero, is nearing a new elimination episode with a record number of contestants, as twelve farmers remain in the competition.
The eighth week of competition remains unpredictable, with several key events set to unfold before the final gala on Sunday. A crucial game, dubbed "Salvation," is scheduled for Thursday, October 29th, where contestants will compete to secure their spots for at least another week. Meanwhile, Friday's "Betrayal" episode will introduce a new dynamic, allowing the saved contestant to potentially eliminate another player and replace them with a fresh nominee, thereby significantly altering the final lineup before the public vote.
