The premiere of Rob Reiner's last film was suspended
Distributor Bleecker Street indefinitely halted the release of Spinal Tap at Stonehenge, sequel to the legendary mockumentary
Distributor Bleecker Street announced the indefinite suspension of the release of his most recent movie, Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Last Finale, following the tragic and violent incidents of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer.
The movie, which served as a primary sequel to the cult classic from 1984, was scheduled to be released in theaters and IMAX venues in 2026. The tragic events that took place on December 14 at the child's home in Brentwood, California, however, forced the initiative to be postponed. The distributor's sources claimed that the decision was made to follow the grieving process and work with family and close friends to determine the "best way ahead" in order to recognize the director's legacy. Lumbar Tap at Stonehenge was not a typical job. The movie files a traditional music that took place in Stonehenge, UK, in October and featured artists like Josh Groban, Shania Twain, and Eric Clapton. The classic cast, which included Harry Shearer, Michael McKean, and Christopher Guest, reconnected with them. The tragedy turns even stranger now that Nick Reiner, the child's child, has been arrested and is still being held by the police on suspicion of double homicide. The investigation is ongoing, but the fate of the other projects Reiner has in growth, such as a new Fawlty Towers collection, is still questionable. Nick Reiner has spent years living in and out of 18 rehab facilities and has battled with addiction and mental health problems.
