A few hours before the California primary day begins this Tuesday, June 2, the candidates for governor and mayor of Los Angeles carried out tours to call on residents to participate in the vote.
As of this weekend, about 13% of California's 23 million eligible voters had mailed their ballots or dropped them off at official drop boxes, including 13% of Democrats and 18% of Republicans.
Since this weekend, in Los Angeles County, 524 additional voting centers have been opened for those residents who wait until the last few days to return their ballots or to go in person to cast their vote directly.
