The former official was arrested on July 7 in Mexico City, after his partner spread videos on social networks in which, according to the complaint, the former director of Pemex is observed exercising violence against him. Rodríguez Padilla was at the head of Pemex for approximately a year and a half. He left the management of the state company in the midst of a series of accidents and fires recorded in facilities such as the Dos Bocas and Tula refineries between March and May of this year.
