La Opinion Hoy: Sheinbaum assures progress in negotiations between Mexico and the US
Claudia Sheinbaum stated that the trade relationship with the United States continues to advance.
After holding a 40-minute telephone conversation with President Trump, Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico, stated that the trade relationship with the United States continues to advance. “Good, very good. It was a cordial, friendly call that lasted about 40 minutes, and we talked about several topics. Yesterday, as you know, the Secretary of Economy met with the Secretary of Commerce and Ambassador Greer to continue discussing the trade agreement. We talked about various issues and agreed to keep moving forward. There has been considerable progress, but we can't share much more yet. It was a very cordial conversation about security matters. We both agreed that we are doing very well, and regarding trade, we discussed several topics that we are still discussing and making progress on,” said Claudia Sheinbaum. This Thursday's call is the second held by the two presidents this month. It even delayed her usual morning press conference from the National Palace by an hour and a half. Regarding possible modifications to the trade agreement between the two countries, the president acknowledged that some U.S. officials want to increase the rules of origin on issues unrelated to the automotive industry, but so far there has been no progress on this matter.
Also questioned about the security agenda that has caused so much concern for Donald Trump, especially the strategy to confront the drug cartels operating in Mexico and the reinforcement of the northern border to prevent the crossing of migrants, as well as drug trafficking into the United States, Sheinbaum stated that a team of Mexican officials presented their work plans to US representatives, which apparently has greatly satisfied President Trump.

We have the best recommendations for new releases in film, series, and documentaries with Rafael Cores, who also promised us last week to tell us about the most relevant events at the Sundance Film Festival.
“I was there for a few days in Park City,In Utah, the last year the festival was held there, I saw a lot of films. I'm not going to talk about all of them, but I will mention at least the ones I liked the most, which are three feature films and two documentaries. The three films I would highlight, the one that amused me the most and perhaps the one I liked the most, was The Invite, a film directed by Olivia Wilde, who is also one of the four main characters. The whole film takes place in an apartment; there are two couples, the couple who live in the apartment and the married couple who live upstairs, who come down to, well, spend the afternoon and evening, and a super funny situation develops between Olivia Wilde, Edward Norton, Penelope Cruz, and Seth Rogen,” explained Rafael Cores.
