In response to the death of Minneapolis native Alex Pretti at the hands of a federal immigration broker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz ordered the state National Guard to be mobilized on Saturday amid the extensive immigration attacks spearheaded by President Donald Trump's administration.

Walz's assertion about the martial implementation, in response to growing tension between city residents and the hundreds of federal agencies dispatched to carry out immigration operations, was confirmed by Walz when questioned about the implementation.

Federal Security Strengthens as a Reputable National Guard

Major General Shawn Manke, the Minnesota National Guard's captain, explained that the soldiers had been on standby for more than a week during the same press event and that the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office had issued a proper request.

The army ' first task will be to protect the safety of the Minneapolis-based immigration officials stationed in the Whipple Federal Building.

Manke assured that the force is "adequate for the demand" and that more personnel are being activated, but he declined to specify the precise number of troops mobilized.

What is known about the target?

Authorities identified the deceased as Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old white man who purportedly had a constitutional permit to carry a firearm and no related criminal history. More than 50 federal agencies are seen fighting with the person in movies that are available on social media moments before the shots are fired. Although the situation is still being looked into, the Department of Homeland Security ( DHS) claimed the person was carrying a semiautomatic weapons and two newspapers with weapons.

Following deadly case in less than three days

Walz and other local officials urged the city's federal government to stop its immigration raids, noting that this was the second fatality in just over two weeks.

In a border crossing operation on January 7th, immigration and customs enforcement ( ICE ) agents shot and killed 37-year-old woman Renee Good inside her car.

Mass surveillance by Trump was ordered.

President Donald Trump issued a direct purchase to the Minneapolis raids in January. According to state regulators, the area has since experienced a implementation of federal agents that have been five times as many as the overall local police force. The expansion of operations came after a documentary by a liberal YouTuber was released that re-examined allegations of national embezzlement in daycare centers involving members of the Ethiopian community, which increased the presence of immigration agencies in the area.
