Google has already warmed up for what promises to be one of the most important tech events of the year. The company confirmed that its next Made by Google 2026 will take place on August 12 in New York, and everything indicates that there we will finally see the long-awaited Pixel 11.

The curious thing is that Google decided to move the date a week earlier than usual, something that many interpret as a strategic move to get ahead of the competition after months of leaks that already left little to the imagination.

Google advances the party in New York

The invitation confirms that the event will be in the Big Apple, repeating the city that Google usually chooses for its big hardware announcements. What's striking is that the invitation card itself comes with an animation that shows a preview of the new phone's design, something Google rarely does so far in advance.

There you can see a gold finish with a shiny metal frame that would give a more premium touch to the range, in addition to a detail that promises to be the great visual protagonist, the so-called Pixel Glow, a light indicator that would replace the temperature sensor of the Pro models and that is quite reminiscent of the Glyph of the Nothing phones.

This date movement is no coincidence because last year the presentation of the Pixel 10 was made on August 20, so moving the calendar forward a week sounds like Google wants to gain ground on other brands that are also preparing launches for that same month. For those of us who closely follow the brand's every move, this anticipation arouses quite a bit of curiosity about what else it has in store up its sleeve.

Everything we already know about the Pixel 11 thanks to the leaks

The weeks leading up to a Made by Google event are always accompanied by a shower of rumors, and this edition was no exception. The family is expected to arrive complete with four models, the Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, each with its own adjustments in design and specifications. The base model would have thinner edges and a completely black camera bar, while the foldable would arrive with a thinner body and a redesigned camera module compared to its predecessor.

Inside, the main protagonist would be the new Tensor G6 chip, accompanied by a seven-core ARM C1 CPU, with a C1 Ultra main core running at 4.11 GHz. The graphics part would be in the hands of an Imagination Technologies GPU, adding a Titan M3 security coprocessor and a MediaTek M90 modem, a combination that sounds quite ambitious on paper.

In the photography section, which is usually the great hook of any Pixel, the base model would make the leap to a 50 MP main sensor, and the Pro versions would add improvements to both the main camera and the telephoto lens. These changes indicate that Google wants to continue competing head-on in computational photography, an area where it has always wanted to stand out.

The memory crisis hits right into the pocket

One of the most talked about topics has to do with RAM and storage, something that normally went unnoticed but this year became decisive. The leaks indicate that the base model would have 8 GB and 12 GB options, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold would reduce its memory from 16 GB to 12 GB in some markets, an adjustment that is directly attributed to the component crisis that the industry is going through due to the strong demand related to AI.

Leaks suggest that the base Pixel 11 would be around $799 to $849 according to different sources, maintaining a similar range to previous generations. The Pixel 11 Pro would be around $999, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL could go up to $1,299 if Google decides to maintain last year's pricing structure.

The model that attracts the most attention due to its cost is the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which according to some leaks would start at $1,799, although other sources place it closer to $1,899 or $1,999 depending on the market and the chosen storage capacity.eldebate 1

With all these elements on the table, August 12 is emerging as a date to mark on the calendar if you are interested in closely following where the evolution of Google phones is going. Although the leaks have already advanced a large part of the story, there is always that margin of surprise that only the event itself can confirm.
