Extreme heat, with temperatures reaching triple digits, affects all of Southern California this week, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

The new heat wave will be combined with a high percentage of humidity, so thunderstorms are expected in the region, for an unusually muggy week.

The NWS issued a new extreme heat advisory, effective for this start of the week, with temperatures above 90°F (32°C) in Southern California.
