Twenty-nine former Anaheim Marriott employees received payouts following labor violations; workers received between $50,000 and $130,000 dollars
Former Anaheim Marriott hotel workers who were laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic received severance payments on Tuesday after California labor authorities determined that the company had violated California labor law.
A group of 29 former employees gathered to celebrate the payment, which follows an investigation by the California Labor Commissioner's Office into the hotel's compliance with the state's right to reinstatement requirements.
