A former doctor who was convicted of sexual abuse and who was on the work for almost 21 years worked for a biotech company in Los Angeles.

According to the U. S. Marshals Service, Ronald L. Fischer, 70, was detained aboard a yacht off the East Coast after national authorities intercepted the 56-foot vehicle off New Jersey.

Fischer had been on the work since 2005 when he fled Rhode Island in 2005 while being tried for sexual misconduct charges against a woman.
