A Spanish man was detained at his house in Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles, as a suspect in operating a dogfighting ring and obtaining weapons without permission.
According to a media release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, Raymond Nunez, 53, is accused of illegally exhibiting, breeding, and training animals for dog fighting at his house from at least December 2025 until February 2026. After serving a 1991 criminal conviction in Los Angeles Superior Court for unlawfully taking a car, Nunez was legally prohibited from doing so.
