After a four-week hit at facilities in California and Hawaii, hundreds of unionized nurses and health experts at Kaiser Permanente will be back at work this Tuesday, according to union leaders, who confirmed on Monday.
In a statement, representatives from the United Nurses Association of California and the Union of Health Professionals ( UNAC/UHCP ) claimed that significant progress had been made in the negotiation of the contract, which had put an end to the work stoppage as of 7:00 am this Tuesday. Prior to resuming work, the coalition also canceled all planned Monday rallies while finalizing the new contract with Kaiser Permanente associates.
