The company that rents the space where it operates a cold storage facility for food that has been burning in Boyle Heights since Wednesday, donated $2 million to help people who were affected by the conflagration.

Lineage announced this Sunday that the contribution was given to the California Community Foundation to be distributed among residents affected by the fire.

On Wednesday, the warehouse run by Lineage on South Los Palos Street burst into flames since Wednesday, forcing shelter-in-place orders due to thick toxic smoke.
