Tuesday evening, two Spanish boys died in an explosion allegedly caused by fireworks inside an apartment in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles County.

The house where the explosion took place was named Carlos Hernandez, a 13-year-old woman. Her brother, 24 years old, was taken to a doctor where, according to family members, he eventually passed away from his injuries. Following calls from people who reported hearing the blast, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department ( LASD ) announced that the explosion took place in the 6500 block of Purdy Avenue at around 6:00 p. m.
