After a drone-related debate, a Florida resident is accused of plotting a death by ordering the killing of his neighbor.
According to Sergeant James Vachon, a spokeswoman for the Lake County Sheriff's Office, David Butka, 69, was charged with inciting the death.
After declaring himself guilty of an aggravating assault charge brought against him in connection with an event on July 22, Butka was taken into custody, according to a sworn declaration of possible cause and website information.
A cellmate detained him on September 16 for the reported plan of commissioned death, setting the date for his launch on September 17.
A witness who was not identified in the officers sworn statement told authorities that Butka's employ of a drone over his property was a continuous civil dispute during the July incident.
The victim was leaving her home when she “noted that the drone stopped over her home and took her phone out to record the civil incident involving the drone,” according to the jury’s statement.
This man claimed to have witnessed Butka "aggressively throwing" a stone against his car, leaving him with "marks and bumps outside" in his claim.
According to a sworn statement from the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Butka approached another inmate and "pleased him to kill his neighbor" on September 7 or 8, roughly while he was being detained on suspicion of anger with aggravants.
Butka is accused of telling the prisoner that he had "approximately$ 1. 3 million in the bank" and that he would give his neighbor$ 5, 000 in advance to kill him. Police claim they gave the victim's address and phone number, as well as her name, a real information, her day job, and directions to find her home.

Butka disputed the allegations, arguing that the cash was used to aid in the detainee's hiring of a solicitor.
Before they coexisted in jail, Butka and the defendant were said to be friends, but they did not know one another.
Vachon told WESH on September 18 that it was still unclear why he felt the need to kill this testimony, citing that Butka had previously requested his release prior to the alleged demand.
