A Spanish man was detained after breaking into the Fountain Valley Police Department's hall and reportedly bit and discharged an officer's weapons.

According to a media release from the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Walter Corea Sanchez, 29, a native of Fountain Valley, was identified as a suspect in the assault against the officer.

On December 19, Sanchez entered the hall and, according to reports, allegedly began yelling and acting erratically when officers attempted to speak with him.
